Summary:

The Security Officer is responsible for protecting customers, employees, and all assets of Rhythm City Casino, while providing superior Guest Service.

Essential Functions:

  • Control access to restricted areas.
  • Check for and report safety hazards, react to guest and employee incidents and accidents.
  • Monitor guest and employee passage in and out of casino according to company policy and state laws.
  • Interview patrons or employees when responding to and administering emergency treatment. Administer basic first aid treatment, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), and Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Maintain certifications in these areas.
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner. Enter data into computer to maintain records.
  • Answer guest’s questions regarding special events and promotions and display courtesy with both internal and external guests.
  • Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
  • Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
  • Supports current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.

Required:

  • A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must obtain a valid gaming license in accordance with the Iowa Racing & Gaming Commissions regulations for this position.
  • Must pass property alcohol training.

Schedule:

Full-time schedule, 10:30p-6:30a

Salary:

$12.00/hr ($10.75+exp+$1.25 attendance bonus)
