Slot Tech Supervisor




The Slot Technician Supervisor is responsible for the successful operation and performance of the Slot Technicians, Slot Machines, and related equipment.

Essential Functions:

  • Participate in the installation, movement, and removal of slot related equipment.
  • Maintain required documentation of slot moves, maintenance and repair logs, and purchase orders and requisitions for slot machines part and supplies, and inventory of slot workshop items.
  • Training of Slot Technicians and effective troubleshooting of slot machines in a fiscally responsible manner.
  • Responsible for reviewing reports and statistical data for malfunctions or other problems and implementing appropriate maintenance and repair lists.
  • Accountable for the display and performance of slot equipment.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repair slot machines.
  • Effectively communicate with regulatory gaming agency.
  • Provide exceptional guest service for all external and internal customers.
  • Assist with the operation of the Slot Technician department, successful performance of employees, and a favorable guest experience.
  • Assist with managing, delegating duties, and the performance and development of department staff; inclusive of interviewing, hiring, training, evaluating, coaching, and termination of staff.
  • Manage expenses based on budgeted guidelines and business volumes to include payroll and staffing levels.
  • Perform all functions of personnel within span of control, as needed.
  • Must maintain reasonable accessibility by phone for business purposes.
  • Assure an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
  • Promote and ensure the safety and security of all guests and employees.
  • Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment and decision-making skills.


  • Extensive knowledge of slot machine functions and ability to accurately explain to guests how to play and read them.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and complete slot-related paperwork with minimal errors. Ability to use ladder, lift, hand tools (Ex. screwdriver), and other slot supplies.
  • Extensive knowledge of state gaming laws and regulations.
  • Ability to read, write, interpret, and apply regulatory documents and technical manuals and instructions.
  • Knowledge of hand tools and electronic testing devices.
  • Must be able to stand/walk for up to eight (8) consecutive hours.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality including, but not limited to, employee data, player activity, claim activity, financial data, marketing plans, and policies.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret departmental needs and results.
  • Ability to solve complex problems and maintain mental concentration for significant periods of time.
  • Ability to perform assigned duties under frequent time pressures and in an interruptive environment.
  • Ability to use telephone, copy/fax machine, computer, Microsoft Office, hand-held radio, and any department-specific equipment, tools, and computer software.
