Summary:

Engineers are integral members of the organization’s community as they work to support the Elite Casino Resort’s mission and vision. They provide services necessary for a high quality entertainment and event experience to board members employees, vendors and guests. Engineers are expected to adhere to ethical standards of professional conduct and act in a manner consistent with codes of business conduct including but not limited to excellence community, integrity, respect, responsibility, confidentiality, and trustworthiness. Engineers are accountable for using best business practices to administer and support our organizations’ entertainment and event solutions, equipment, and systems typical to the entertainment and hospitality industry with outstanding customer service skills. The Entertainment and Event Engineering position differentiates itself from other audio visual, entertainment, and event positions by demonstrated abilities, years of experience, education and certifications.

Essential Functions:

  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will actively monitor Banquet Event Orders, attend weekly Group Sales meetings, work with the Technology Department as needed to deliver event requests, and respond to inquiries about events to departments when providing solutions for events.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will work with other Technology and Event Services teammates to learn entertainer availability and upcoming schedules as well as assist with special events, fairs, parades, and other community projects.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will keep the Technology AV Manager appraised of all additional needs to deliver the entertainer requested stage requirements and obtain all necessary approvals to deliver those requirements over and above the negotiated contracts.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will work with the Technology Department to support availability of technology requested to all events.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will manager, oversee, and run the Rhythm Room and Event Center sound board and lighting equipment as well as all other company owned equipment (ie. microphones, drums, etc.)
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will keep clean, maintain according to management direction, and improve all assigned work areas and storage rooms for equipment.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will supervise the setup and tear down of each event and/or performance in addition to supervising all local entertainer presentations and sound quality.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will demonstrate excellent time management, resourcefulness, attention to detail, ability to creatively solve problems, and passion to remain calm and collected at all times.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will work with the Marketing Director and Technology AV Manager to resolve customer complaints and issues in writing, verbally, and/or in person.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will observe and practice security measures within the constraints of our highly regulated environment.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will work with their Technology teammates to prepare and deliver requested entertainment and event solutions.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will team with and assist Food and Beverage Banquets and Events staff as well as Technology staff to deliver various formats of media including text, pictures, music, sound, video/movies, recordings, animations, communications, connectivity, and more. The multimedia industry is ever-changing as will be the solutions the Entertainment and Event Engineer will provide.
  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer will perform their duties with letter or no supervision.

Required:

  • The Entertainment and Event Engineer must possess great people skills so they are able to communicate with the ability to listen and understand what the event customer is trying to achieve and always be approachable.
  • Minimum 5+ years of work-related hands-on skill and knowledge in Entertainment and Events including familiarity with multimedia equipment and systems.
  • Minimum 5+ years experience in business environment.
  • Experience and familiarity with local entertainers a plus.
  • Gaming experience a plus.
