G/L Accountant/Revenue Auditor

Summary:

The Accounts Payable Accountant/Revenue Auditor maintains effective accounts payable process and assist with auditing the revenues of the property. They will help with matching receipts, slips, and other supporting documentation to the revenue reports. They also review, obtain required approvals, investigate variances, and process payments to vendors, and ensure consistent and accurate coding of expenses and credits.

Essential Functions:

  • Process invoices and payments after obtaining required approvals.
  • Match invoices with receiving documents and purchase orders.
  • Enter data in A/P accounting system.
  • Ensure all vendors provide the proper tax identification for records (W9)
  • Prepare annual 1099 statements for vendors.
  • Responsible for various general ledger and month-end account reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing Request for Transaction Approvals for gaming regulators as required.
  • Review and file MTLs, CTRs, and SARs.
  • Analyze processes and provide management with recommendations for improvement to efficiencies, control, and savings.
  • Assures an environment which emphasizes cooperation, communication, and teamwork with all departments.
  • Support compliance with all internal procedures and regulatory requirements, including those associated with underage and intoxicated guests.
  • Supports current law and policy to provide a work environment free from illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Complete job duties with minimal supervision, maintain acceptable attendance, and use appropriate judgment.

Required:

  • A sound understanding of and skill in several activities which involve a variety of practices and precedents or a basic understanding of the theory and principles of the discipline.
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of educations and experience.
  • Working knowledge with Excel and other Microsoft Office programs.

Schedule:

Tues-Sat 7a-3p OR Tues-Fri 6a-4p

Salary:

$18.50 ($17.00+exp+$1.50 attendance incentive)
